Enabling inclusive innovation in African universities

Universities are generating solutions shaped by the opportunities of fast growing cities, from energy systems to circular manufacturing processes, but these solutions do not always get to the people that need them to improve their lives.

The Centre for Global Equality works with academics and entrepreneurs in partner universities to co-create Inclusive Innovation Hubs within their campuses to fill this gap. These Hubs provide shared fabrication facilities, enabling programmes, technical support and structured venture guidance that enable research and innovation teams to develop working prototypes and prepare for market entry.

By embedding this capability within universities, research, innovation and commercialisation can develop side by side, strengthening locally rooted pathways from innovation to market. Visit centreforglobalequality.org to learn more.
