Adara Group

A healthcare worker wearing a face mask and light blue scrubs holds a very small newborn infant gently against their chest in a skin-to-skin care position. The baby has a nasal tube secured to the face and rests closely against the caregiver’s body while being supported by one hand. The close framing emphasizes careful, intimate medical care in what appears to be a neonatal hospital setting.

Strengthening maternal and newborn care in Uganda with Adara Group

Uganda is making important progress in maternal and newborn health, with growing national momentum to strengthen care for mothers and babies. Through deep partnerships with government hospitals and district health leaders, Adara Group is helping build stronger systems that improve survival outcomes and expand access to quality care.

Our partnership supports Adara’s work across North Central Uganda, where it is training and mentoring health workers, strengthening leadership in public health facilities, improving biomedical capabilities and expanding access to reliable power for neonatal units.

This work builds on a model that has already delivered strong results, including significant reductions in maternal mortality, neonatal mortality and stillbirths, while helping more mothers and newborns access quality care closer to home. Learn more by visiting their website.
